Ivex Specialty Paper was acquired by New-Indy Containerboard June 30, 2015. New-Indy is a joint venture that was formed in 2012 by the Kraft Group and Schwarz Partners, LP, two family-owned companies with long histories in paper and packaging. New Indy is the owner of four mills shown up top: (left to right) Hartford City, Ontario, Oxnard, and Peoria.
The Ivex operation in Peoria consists of a Paper Machine along with an Off-Machine Coater and a Converting Department. The Mill produces Bleached, Natural and Colored Crepe and Kraft Papers with Basis Weights ranging from 40# to 150# per 3,000 square feet. Machine Crepe has been the base product in Peoria with the Mill producing Crepe Papers for over half a century. The Mill can supply Specialty Kraft Papers with Calipers from 7 to 15 pt. A broad selection of in-stock Colored Crepe Paper allows Peoria to ship next day on many of its orders. The Mill’s strong commitment to the Crepe market allows the customer to view this specialty paper as a supply item.
The coater produces Silicone Coated, Grease Resistant and Specialty Coated Papers used in a wide range of end products. The Coater is an Air-Knife Coater allowing for a wide range of coat weights. The converting department consists of numerous slitters with a slit width capability down to 1″. The Converting Department maintains a wide variety of standard width Crepe Paper allowing a fast order turn around on orders ranging from bundle shipments to truckload pallet shipments.
Our strong commitment to customer service is demonstrated by the long list of loyal repeat customers served by the Peoria Mill for the past 35 years. There is SO much Ivex can do for you!
